Living in the moment is the life’s real purpose.

Looking back where life was disperse
Living in the moment is the life’s real purpose.
The maneuver of clouds in the bright blue sky, the breeze with which the birds fly. The sound of water flowing, the seed that has just started growing. Mother nature has bestowed us with colossal amount of treasures, which humankind is often unaware of.
In a world full of competition, the behavioural mindset lets us think to become better than everyone else, how to achieve everything one after the after, regardless of the peace of mind or satisfaction, it just piles up more and more.
A great quote from Bible says “For what shall it profit a man, if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul” ?
Comparing this to real life situation, consider two people going for a job interview, one has the mindset of achieving everything all together, has been working day and night for it, cannot withstand failure in his/her life, whereas the other person just knows how to enjoy being in the moment, does not think of what’s going to happen after this or that, and is not afraid of failure, while going for the interview the first person would always think of the outcome of it, making him feel nervous about the entire scenario, whereas the other person would have a smile on his/her face while encountering the situation.
This makes a significant impact and the result regardless of whatever the answer is, knowing that nothing is more important then mental peace, happiness and self satisfaction is what really matters.
You give yourself the chance to develop a fresh perspective on life when you give yourself over to the moment. It is simpler to be joyful when you look at things with appreciation and positivity, letting go of memories or future aspirations.
You won’t be disappointed when things don’t turn out the way you expected them to if you don’t have expectations for the future. You won’t be emotionally influenced by events if you maintain an open mind because you didn’t spend much time worrying about them.
Living in the moment means being fully present and engaged in what you are doing right now. It means enjoying the small things in life, such as the sound of birds chirping, the taste of a delicious meal, or the feeling of the sun on your skin. It’s about experiencing life as it happens, without worrying about what’s to come or what has already passed.

However, the actual thing that comes before us is that no one has control over mind and how can we really bring this idea of “Being in the Moment” into play.Of course, it’s not always simple to be present. It can be challenging to block out the chatter and focus entirely on the present moment because our minds are constantly buzzing with worry. However, you can develop more mindfulness and presence in your daily life with practice.

There are certain practices that being done can help to achieve the goal.

1. Monotasking instead of Multitasking.
People often think by doing various task together they be productive and handle various task together, however only 2% of the world’s population can multitask, according to studies, but when individuals hear that statistic, they mistakenly believe they are one of those 2%. But the majority of us actually belong to the 98% group. We believe that by handling many tasks at once, we can increase our productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency, but in reality, these traits are more likely to decline. You can multitask while still having a lot going on. It simply means that you focus solely on what you are doing at any one time.
2. Prioritize play
There’s this George Bernard Shaw quote I love to use: “We don’t stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing.”
We don’t stop playing because we become older, according to a George Bernard Shaw quotation I particularly like to employ. We cease playing as we become older.
3. Create Community
Sharing achievements or experiences either with your people online virtually or having a meetup where both of you feel understood and can have a positive talks over a certain experience.
A community can also provide opportunities for learning and growth. Members can learn from one another, share knowledge and skills, and mentor each other.

4. Slow down

Take a break from your hectic schedule and slow down. Enjoy a cup of tea, take a walk in nature, or simply sit and meditate. By slowing down, we’re able to fully immerse ourselves in the present moment.

5. Appreciate the little things

Take time to appreciate the small things in life, such as a beautiful sunset, a good book, or a delicious meal. By focusing on these small pleasures, we’re able to cultivate a sense of gratitude and joy in the present moment.

6. Let go of the past and future

Try to let go of your worries about the future and regrets about the past. Instead, focus on what you can do right now to make the most of the present moment.

Does the breeze make nature cold? It reminds me of the days old. Where does it start? And where does it end? The brain just can’t comprehend. So let’s just look at the clouds moving, and find happiness as long as there’s living.

I really appreciate this article! I, myself get caught up in work which leaves me no time to enjoy the small things such as the beautiful mountains that I see on my drive to school.
I think taking a pause once in a while would help me attain mental peace in my day to day life.

Thank you for the great read!
